Chimacum: Teacher pleads guilty to stealing school band money

PORT TOWNSEND — Former Chimacum High School band teacher David R. Jones will be confined to his residence for one month for stealing more than $4,000 in band funds.

And his former band students will be confined to the Tri-Area next spring instead of going to Italy as planned.

Jones pleaded guilty Friday to first-degree theft for gambling away approximately $4,000 in band funds last August.
