BLYN — Firefighters from Clallam County Fire District 3 extinguished an RV fire at the Jamestown rest area.

A total of 10 firefighters responded just before 6 p.m. Sunday at 1031 Old Blyn Highway. All occupants were outside and the vehicle did not threaten any structures or trees, the fire district stated in a press release.

There were no injuries.

The RV owner, from Tacoma, said a passerby alerted him to the fire as they were watching salmon jump out in Sequim Bay, the fire district said.

Two fire engines, an Olympic Ambulance and a battalion chief responded to the fire, which was quickly put out.

The fire was under investigation Monday, the fire district said.
