PORT TOWNSEND — A 56-year-old man reported missing since Dec. 22 has been found dead not far from a place he was house-sitting.
The body of Brian Jennings was found at about 4 p.m. Tuesday in his car, which had gone over an embankment at the intersection of Huckleberry Road and Cape George Road.
Jennings, who lived in a trailer at Discovery Road and Second Street but was house-sitting in the Cape George area, may have suffered a heart attack that caused his car to leave the road, according to his sister, Heather Eims.
Her husband, George Eims, found the body in an area that had been searched before, she said.
“For whatever reason he decided to get out of the car and look over the edge of the embankment,” Heather Eims said of her husband.
“The car was in a place where it couldn't be seen from the road.”
Services are pending and will be announced by Kosec Funeral Home in Port Townsend.
