STATE PREP FOOTBALL UPDATE: A Thanksgiving tradition continued — Neah Bay going back to the state semifinals

EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated to correct the number of consecutive years Neah Bay has made the state semifinals to seven.

BREMERTON – Neah Bay is going to the 1B state semifinals for the seventh consecutive season after slamming Seattle Lutheran 62-12 at Silverdale Stadium on Friday.

Cole Svec ran for four touchdowns for the second-ranked Red Devils and Rwehabura Munyagi Jr. threw three touchdown passes and returned an interception 60 yard for another score.

Neah Bay will face the winner of Saturday’s game between Quilcene and Lummi in Bellingham in next week’s semifinals.

The 1B semifinals will be played Friday, Nov. 27, at the Tacoma Dome.
