Sports: Forks loses playoff game

MONTESANO — Julie Steveson scored 10 points and had seven rebounds and seven steals but it wasn’t enough for the Forks High School girls basketball team in the district playoffs Thursday night.

The Spartans lost 50-40 to Ridgefield in the first round of the Southwest Washington District championships at Montesano High School.

That puts Forks in a do-or-die situation on Saturday at Montesano High School. The opponent and time is to be determined.

If the Spartans win Saturday they will advance to the next district round next week. They lose and they go home.
