Sports: Forks girls land berth in district tourney

FORKS — The Forks girls basketball team ripped Rochester 72-44 to capture a berth in the district tournament and just as importantly are a win away from their first non-losing season in 13 years with one game to go.

Forks captured fourth place and are 6-8 in the Southwest Washington League and 9-10 overall. The Spartans finish the regular season at home Thursday night against Montesano.
