Sports: Chimacum beats rival Port Townsend 38-14

PORT TOWNSEND — Jesse Minish scored three touchdowns and Chimacum High School knocked off its neighbor and rival Port Townsend 38-14 in a Nisqually League football game Friday night at Jefferson County Memorial Stadium.

Port Townsend had six turnovers in the game.

Minish scored on runs of 27, 6 and 16 yards. His 27-yard score was the second of the game and his 6-yard jaunt was the final TD of the first half, upping the Cowboys lead to 29-0.

“The kids wanted it,”‘ Chimacum coach Brian Anderson said. “They wanted it and they went out and got it.”
