Coed softball registration underway in PA

PORT ANGELES — City of Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Coed softball league registration is underway for players age 18 and older.

Registration fees are $650 per team and the deadline is July 11.

The season begins July 23 and will run until Aug. 30 with games held at Shane Park.

Players without a team can call and ask to be placed on a free agent list.

Trio is all-state

PORT ANGELES — Sequim and Port Angeles players were recently honored with inclusion on the Washington State Soccer Coaches Association Class 2A All-State team.

Seniors Liam Harris of Sequim and Ben Schneider of Port Angeles were second-team selections while Sequim sophomore Ryan Tolberd received honorable mention status.

Mountlake Terrace senior Bobby Stoyanov was the 2A MVP and Columbia River’s Filomon Afenegus was tabbed as Coach of the Year for guiding the Chieftains to the state title.
