EJLL last chance registration and skills tests slated

PORT HADLOCK — East Jefferson Little League will offer a last-chance skills assessment and registration session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the ball fields, 80 Elkins Road.

The skills assessments are for baseball and softball players ages 8 and older.

Registration is $75 for T-ball, $100 for baseball and softball offerings, and also can be made online at ejlittleleague.com.

Rumble on the Ridge

PORT ANGELES — Registration is underway for Rumble on the Ridge, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament fundraiser for the Port Angeles Roughrider boys.

The double-elimination tournament will be held at the high school on April 29-30. Registration is open to 16 teams. The cost is $300 per team and winners will receive championship T-shirts.

Softball skill tryout dates are Saturday and March 4. Times are 9 a.m. for 16U; 10 a.m. for U11 and U12; 11 a.m. for 10U and 9 a.m. for 9U.

Baseball tryout dates are Sunday and March 5. Times are 9 a.m. for 12-year-olds, 10 a.m. for age 11, 11 a.m. for age 10 and 12:30 p.m. for players 9 and younger.

Sportsmen gear sale

FORKS — The West End Sportsmen’s Club is planning an Outdoor Gear, Indoor Sale at the club, 243 Sportsmen’s Club Road, from noon to 6 p.m. April 22.

Tables are available for $15 or $30 on a first-come, first-served basis. Donations for the club also will be accepted.

Trophy Night planned

FORKS — A Trophy Night event, complete with official Boone and Crockett scorers, will be offered by the West End Sportsmen’s Club on March 25.

The event will run from noon to 6 p.m.

Trophies from all sorts of beasts — deer, elk, bear, sheep, goat, fish or birds — will be scored by the official scorers.

Cool shed antler sets and European mounts also are welcomed.

Admission is free.

Tall tales and stories are welcome, plus pictures and wildlife videos.

Refreshments will be available.
