PORT ANGELES — Wilder Senior won four straight over Whatcom Post No. 7, taking one of its victories Sunday in dramatic fashion with a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh by Braydan White.
White pitched the seventh inning and was also the winning pitcher.
White also had a huge game late Sunday with a home run, a double and three RBIs in a 13-2 victory over Whatcom. Wilder ended up sweeping all four games over Whatcom on Saturday and Sunday.
Wilder Senior won its first game Saturday 8-0 on an Ethan Staples no-hitter and won again Saturday evening 13-2.
White’s Sequim teammate Zeke Schmadeke started Sunday’s early game and went an outstanding six innings, locked in a pitchers’ duel with Whatcom’s Gunnar Tweit. Schmadeke went six innings, allowing just three hits. He struck out one.
The game went into the seventh inning tied 0-0. Whatcom got a run in the seventh, loading the bases against White, who had come into the game in relief. Whatcom hit a fly ball to score the runner from home, but outfielder Jordan Shumway got the ball in to Colton Romero (Skagit Valley College) to tag a runner out advancing to second base to end the inning, preventing any more runs.
In the bottom of the seventh, Port Angeles, Sequim and Forks players all contributed to the win. Kody Williams began the rally with a walk. Alex Angevine went in to pinch-run. Forks’ Landen Olson hit a single to move Angevine to third and Angevine came in to score on an error.
Olson stole second and moved to third on a groundout. White then followed with his game-winning hit.
In Sunday’s late game, White finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Williams was 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Olson had a hit, a run scored and two RBIs.
Romero pitched four innings, allowing two earned runs, while Olson pitched two innings.

At the plate, White began a big day with a triple and run scored. Ezra Townsend, who now plays for Skagit Valley College, went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Rylan Politika had a double and three RBIs, while Bryant Laboy of Sequim had a double, a run scored and a stolen base. Olson had a hit, a run scored and an RBI, as did Sequim’s Lincoln Bear.
In Saturday’s second game, Williams pitched another complete-game gem, allowing just five hits and two earned runs while striking out two.
In the second game, White and Angevine each had huge games. Angevine was 4-for-4 with a double, four runs scored and two RBIs. White was 3-for-4 with a grand slam, three runs scored and five RBIs. Romero had a hit, a sac fly and two RBIs, while Townsend hit a double and drove in a run.

PORT ANGELES — Wilder Junior erupted for 12 hits in a 10-1 victory of Wollochet on Sunday.
Hunter Tennell was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, while Ethan Swenson was 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored.
Easton Fisher was 2-for-2, Ian Smithson had a hit, a run scored, an RBI and two walks, while Bryce DeLeon had a hit, a run scored and an RBI. Abe Brenkman added a double.
On the mound, Owen Leitz started, going 5⅓ innings, allowing five hits and an earned run. He struck out six. Swenson pitched 1⅔ innings, striking out two.
Wilder Junior (4-4) played a second game late Sunday afternoon against Wollochet after press deadline. Wilder Junior plays in a Selah tournament beginning Thursday against Sedro-Woolley AA.

Wilder A ran wild on the basepaths to win its first game of the year 5-3 Sunday morning against the Centralia Tigers.
Wilder A stole 14 bases in the victory, including a steal of home by Asher Irvine. Wilder scored three runs in the sixth inning to pull out the victory.
Logan Botero started on the mound, going four innings and allowing three hits while striking out four. Wyatt Bruch pitched three innings, allowing an earned run and striking out two.
At the plate, Lalo Dominguez was 2-for-2, while Eden Peterson had a hit, a run scored, an RBI and three stolen bases. Noah Johnstad had a double, a run scored and a stolen base.
Wilder A lost to the Kelso Baseball Club 14-4 later in the day. Johnstad had a hit and two RBIs in that game.
Wilder A also lost 5-0 to the Tenino Trappers and 7-1 to Chehalis Awesome Chevy on Saturday. Wilder A next plays at Chehalis Awesome Chevy at 11 a.m. today.
