Election outcomes unchanged

General election outcomes on the North Olympic Peninsula were unchanged after the Jefferson County Auditor’s Office counted more ballots from the Nov. 7 election on Wednesday.

Clallam County did not count on Wednesday and neither have said counting will be done on Thursday. Jefferson County had announced a Thursday count, but information posted online shows a count was done Wednesday and will not be done again until Nov. 28, the day the election is certified.

The next count in Clallam County is expected to be by 5 p.m. Friday.

Jefferson County reports a voter turnout of 43.69 percent, or 12,110 ballots counted out of 27,716 provided. It had less than 100 ballots left to count.

Clallam County reports a voter turnout of 44.63 percent, or 25,599 ballots counted out of 57,359 provided to voters.
