West End: Bomb threat shuts down U.S. Highway 101 through Forks

FORKS — About three blocks of U.S. Highway 101 were shut down for 30 minutes Saturday night after a bomb threat was called into the Texaco/Subway.

No bomb was found at the station at 490 N. Forks Ave., but Fire Chief Phil Arbeiter has vowed to find the caller.

“We will prosecute this person to the fullest extent we can. If someone thinks this is funny, maybe he or she will think it is not so humorous after sitting in jail,” Arbeiter said Sunday.
