PORT ANGELES — A golf tournament and bake sale will cap a week of Pink Up Port Angeles events this weekend.
All proceeds from the Pink Up campaign, an annual fundraiser by the Port Angeles Soroptimist Noon Club, go to the all-volunteer Operation Uplift, a Port Angeles-based group that provides help and information for people with cancer.
Pink ribbons went up all over town last Saturday, and fundraisers were held Sunday and Wednesday.
Today, a Pink Up golf tournament will begin at noon at the Peninsula Golf Club, 824 S. Lindberg Road.
The cost is $95 or $60 for members of the golf club.
Among the prizes to be awarded will be a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE to the winner of the hole-in-one contest.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres and a no-host reception after the tournament are planned, along with a 50-50 raffle that will go on all day.
To register or for more information, phone Jacob Lippold at the club at 360-457-6501.
Bake sale
On Saturday, a bake sale will begin at Swain’s General Store, 602 E. First St., at 10 a.m.
The Soroptimist-baked goods will be on sale until all are gone.
The annual Chestnut Cottage spaghetti dinner will be from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 28.
At the $10 dinner at Chestnut Cottage, 929 E. Front St., “celebrity” waiters will compete for tips.
