Two treated and discharged after Carlsborg wreck

CARLSBORG — A Sequim man and a Port Angeles woman were treated and discharged from Olympic Medical Center after a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Boyce Road and U.S. Highway 101.

Shane A. Hagar, 45, of Sequim was driving northbound on Boyce Road in a Honda Civic at 6:56 p.m. Thursday and failed to yield at the intersection west of Sequim, according to the State Patrol.

The Civic collided with a Ford Focus driven by Craylee L. McBride, 25, of Port Angeles in the right westbound lane, troopers said in a collision memo.

The impact caused the Focus to hit a Ford Mustang driven by Edward M. Bittner, 60, of Port Angeles in the left westbound lane, according to the State Patrol.

Hagar and McBride were treated and discharged from OMC, a hospital district official said Friday.

Bittner was not injured in the crash, troopers said.

McBride and Bittner were wearing seat belts. Hagar was not wearing a seat belt, according to the State Patrol.

Drugs or alcohol were not involved, troopers said.

The 1995 Honda Civic, 2012 Ford Focus and 1998 Ford Mustang each had reportable damage and were towed from the scene.

The right westbound lane was closed from 7:03 p.m. to 7:49 p.m., the state Department of Transportation said.
