PORT HADLOCK — The Washington State University Extension will offer a stream steward class starting May 5.
The course will feature Zoom lectures from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays from May 5 through June 9.
The program also includes nature study sessions from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Mondays from May 10 through June 14, excluding May 31.
The course is open to the public,and costs $25.
Class participants are encouraged to apply what they learn in the course through volunteer activities including stream and salmon monitoring, public outreach, tree planting and habitat restoration.
Pre-registration, at https://2021- spring-stream-stewards.eventbrite.com, is required by April 30.
