Presidents Day in Clallam and Jefferson counties will affect the following services:
* Government: State and Clallam and Jefferson county offices, city halls and port offices in Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks and Port Townsend will be closed Monday for Presidents Day.
Public schools are closed as well. Post offices will be closed and there will be no mail delivery.
Public utility district offices in Port Angeles, Port Hadlock and Forks will be closed Monday. State Department of Licensing offices will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday for Presidents Day.
* Banks: U.S. Bank will be open Monday. Branches of KeyBank, First Federal Savings and Loan, First Security Bank of Washington, Kitsap Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Washington Mutual will be closed.
* Garbage: Pickup schedules for Port Angeles customers, West Waste Recycling and Murrey’s Olympic Disposal will be unchanged.
* Liquor stores: State-run liquor stores will be closed Monday for Presidents Day.
* Libraries: North Olympic libraries, Jefferson County Library in Port Hadlock and the Port Townsend Library will be closed on Monday.
* Senior centers: The senior centers in Port Angeles, Port Townsend and Sequimalso will be closed Monday, although a few classes in the Sequim center will meet.
* Transit systems: Clallam and Jefferson transit systems will have regular service on Monday.
* Pools: The Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center and Port Townsend Memorial Pool will be open while William Shore Memorial Pool in Port Angeles will be closed for Presidents Day. However, the Port Townsend pool will be open for laps only; no classes will meet.
* Ferries: The MV Coho Port Angeles-Victoria run will add extra sailings.
Runs will leave Victoria at 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. and leave Port Angeles at 8:20 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Friday through Monday.

* Roads: Motorists can access road conditions at www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic and www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/trafaficalerts.

* Tourist activities: Hurricane Ridge Lodge will be open and the road leading to Hurricane Ridge will be open over the holiday weekend, weather permitting.
To check road conditions, call 360-565-3131. Olympic National Park Visitor Center, as well as visitor centers in Port Townsend, Sequim, Forks and Port Angeles, will be open. Olympic Game Farm will be open.
* The offices of Peninsula Daily News will be closed Monday for Presidents Day. The newspaper’s publication schedule is unaffected.
