PORT TOWNSEND — Tammi Rubert, who ran unsuccessfully against appointed Superior Court Clerk Ruth Gordon in the September Democratic primary, submitted her two weeks notice Thursday, resigning after 13 years of service, Gordon said Friday.
“Tammi hasn’t told me what motivated the change,” Gordon said.
“She just told her she had another job.”
Rubert, as a senior clerk, was in charge of the court facilitator program.
“I’m sorry for whatever reason Tammi felt she has to go,” Gordon said.
“I will miss her experience. But there’s still a lot of experience in the office.”
Gordon sent out an advertisement about the job immediately to fill the opening that leaves her one short of 6.4 employees budgeted, not including herself.
