PORT TOWNSEND — If you’re going to dream big, dream big.
That was the message Barbara Stanny told a sold-out crowd of women at the Elks Club on Saturday for “Do Your Dream” Day.
“I first I thought we’d invite 20 women, then I changed it to 50,” Stanny said. “Today we have 125 women plus a waiting list.”
Stanny, best-selling author of Prince Charming Isn’t Coming, as the keynote speaker for the free event, which drew women from Port Angeles, Sequim, Auburn, Brinnon, Quilcene, Port Ludlow and the Port Townsend area.
Sponsored by the local chapter of Soroptimist International, the workshop grew from Stanny’s dream to help women act on their dreams with the help of mentors.
