Port Townsend author gets indie book award

ASHEVILLE, N.C — Dylan James Quarles, of Port Townsend, has won a 2021 Best Indie Book Award for his novel “There Be Monsters.”

The time travel nautical adventure tale took top honors in the action/adventure category.

“There Be Monsters” is Quarles’ fifth novel.

The book is available the Green Room at Manresa Castle, 651 Cleveland St. and the Port Townsend City Library, 1220 Lawrence St.; an e-book version is also available on Amazon.
