The Washington State Ferry, MV Klickitat, was back in operation Tuesday, returning two-vessel service to the Port Townsend to Keystone route.
Washington State Ferries took the Klickitat out of service Monday to repair a rudder problem.
A sister ferry, MV Quinault, operated as the sole ferry on the route throughout the day. Cars and trucks backed up in holding areas on Port Townsend streets because of the service delays.
Both ferries were build in 1927 and refurbished in the 1980s.
