PORT ANGELES — An accountability audit of the Port of Port Angeles showed no problems, the Washington state Auditors Office reported.
In a report dated Nov. 21, the auditor’s office said it evaluated the Port’s compliance in various areas from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2002.
The audit noted that the Port had a budget of $5 million and its 40 employees “provide an array of services at the Port’s marine terminals, log dumps, marinas, airports, industrial parks and rental properties.”
The audit examined financial statements, including cash and investments, revenues, expenses and long-term debt, and the Port’s accountability for public resources, compliance with state and local laws and regulations and its compliance with federal requirements.
