PORT ANGELES –Jamestown S’Klallam tribal leaders are considering several economic development projects, including an RV park near 7 Cedars Casino, a tribal representative said Monday.
Mark Madsen, economic development director for the Blyn tribe, spoke to members of the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce during their weekly luncheon.
“The tribe believes that an active relationship with the community is important for economic success,” Madsen said. “We are a member of the community and are trying to identify key areas of resource growth.”
Madsen said the tribe is considering building the recreational vehicle park near its 7 Cedars Casino on U.S. Highway 101 at Sequim Bay.
Tribal officials are in the planning stages of finding what land can be developed, he said.
