PORT ANGELES – If you have any ideas for the former fire hall at 215 S. Lincoln St., the city wants to hear them.
The City Council unanimously agreed this week night to have city staff prepare a request for proposals for use of the property that was declared surplus in January.
City Manager Mark Madsen said evaluation of the proposals will include price, retention of historical aspects and other agencies that might have governmental uses for it.
The request will be published in newspapers and a listing service as well as sent to those who have expressed interest in the property, Madsen said, adding the council doesn’t have to choose any of the proposals.
The time for responding to the request for proposals typically is 30 days, he said.
