Students, school officials and residents will gather this morning for a ceremonial groundbreaking for Jefferson Elementary School reconstruction in Port Angeles.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the school, 218 E. 12th St. The ceremony will include raising of the flag, a special musical presentation by Kids on Broadway, school officials’ comments, groundbreaking and singing by students.
The groundbreaking is in preparation of the planned $4.2 million renovation of the historical 1922 school building.
