Port Angeles: Property taxes on annexation agenda tonight

PORT ANGELES — City officials will hold the fifth of eight public forums tonight to answer annexation questions.

The meeting is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Roosevelt Middle School library, 106 Monroe Road.

Tonight’s forum will focus on property taxes, plans for commercial development in the area and city government impacts.

City Manager Mike Quinn and other city officials will attend.

Each of the eight meetings has a theme about annexation and city services. The three remaining meetings are:

* Dec. 6: General questions and answers. (This forum is new, added to the original schedule of seven meetings.)

* Dec. 13 — Fire, police and emergency medical services.

* Jan. 17 — General wrap-up.
