Port Angeles: Pro-fluoride group holding forum tonight

A group supporting fluoridation of the Port Angeles city water supply will hold a forum tonight.

Entitled “Something to Smile About,”‘ the forum begins at 7 p.m. at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St.

It will feature presentations by Clallam County Health Officer Dr. Tom Locke, Dr. Scott Kennedy, chief medical officer for Olympic Medical Center, and Dr. Todd Irwin, Olympic Dental Society president.

A question and answer period will follow the presentations.

Fluoride opponents weren’t invited to participate as panelists, but are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion, said Dr. Steve Chapman, pediatrician and founding member of Clallam Citizens for Dental Health.
