No health problems are expected to surface from a delivery of possible contaminated meat, health officials said Tuesday.
Evergreen Meats of Port Angeles voluntarily recalled the 1,800 pounds of ground beef Monday. Routine tests by the U.S. Department of Agriculture discovered the possible E. coli contamination.
Clallam County Environmental Health Director Tania Busch-Weak said her office recontacted Evergreen customers Tuesday to verify they did not have any reports of problems related to the meat, most of which may have already been cooked and eaten.
