Port Angeles: Free job fair offers public numerous employment opportunities

People looking for jobs can talk to more than 45 Peninsula employers and exhibitors at the “Job Fair . . . Works for You in 2002!”

The free event will be held at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

In past years the fair has drawn more than 700 people.

Leslie Hofer, the job fair’s coordinator, said people should bring resumes and dress as they would for an interview.

In addition, job seekers can get their resumes critiqued by experts and sign up for the WorkSource job hunter workshops.

“This year we expanded the hours so people will be able to make it after classes or work,” said Hofer.

Hofer said anyone looking for a job is invited to attend the job fair.
