SHINE — A collision in an intersection just west of the Hood Canal Bridge sent a 67-year-old Port Angeles woman to a hospital in Port Townsend on Thursday night.
According to a report today by the State Patrol, a red 2001 Chevrolet Blazer SUV driven by Joshua R. Elder, 18, of Poulsbo pulled out from Paradise Bay Road into state Highway 104 and collided with a westbound 2013 Subaru Outback driven by Kathleen M. Hussey, 67, of Port Angeles.
Hussey was taken by ambulance to Jefferson Healthcare with undisclosed injuries, the State Patrol reported.
Neither Elder nor three passengers in the silver Subaru was injured, according to troopers at the scene.
All involved in the crash were wearing seat belts, and investigators ruled out drugs or alcohol as being involved.
The Blazer was reportedly destroyed and the Outback suffered “reportable” damage, the State Patrol said.
