PORT ANGELES — Concert on the Pier will go on as scheduled tonight, with the Hawaiian music group Naki”i performing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Hawaiian prayers and special songs dedicated to victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon will begin the performance at City Pier.
“This will allow all of us at the pier to note with sympathy the horrific tragedies in New York and Washington — and recognize that the suffering goes far beyond the physical victims there,” said Mike Kuenzli of Sequim, who, with his wife, Erma, and brother-in-law Sam Naki, comprise Naki’i.
This is the last Concert on the Pier performance of the summer.
