The Port Angeles City Council tonight is expected to discuss plans to fold its Parks and Recreation Department into the Public Works and Utilities Department next year.
Under another move tied to the 2005 budget, the economic development division would be placed into the Community Development Department. The economic development director would become community and economic planning director.
The City Council meeting starts at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
The reorganization proposals are part of the 2005 budget process, Mayor Richard Headrick said last week.
“It will be adopted by virtue of adoption of the budget,”‘ he added.
