PORT ANGELES — The man who covered his face with a respirator mask and robbed a Bank of America branch remained at large Wednesday, and police said they had no leads to his identity.
Detectives are still seeking tips and information from the public that might lead them to the bandit, who took off with an undisclosed amount of cash the day before.
Police stopped a handful of people dressed similarly to the suspect and searched a two-block radius around the Eighth Street Bank of America branch after the robbery occurred, but did not find the man, Port Angeles Police Detective Sgt. Erick Zappey said Wednesday.
Information that officers have received from the public has been “vague” and “nothing really that we can do anything with,” Zappey said.
The robbery occurred just before 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bank of America branch at 134 W. Eighth St.
