PORT ANGELES — When the 2003 projects in the city’s six-year street plan are completed this year, residents will see a newly paved Olympic Discovery Trail section, a traffic signal at Fifth and Race streets and a new roof for the city’s beleaguered fire station.
Deputy Engineering Director Gary Kenworthy said the seven projects listed for 2003 are those funded by the city’s general fund.
Other projects will be completed by spending other city revenues.
The City Council will hold a public hearing on the street plan beginning at 7 p.m. June 2 in council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
The hearing will be continued until the June 16 meeting and possibly the July 1 meeting before the council adopts the plan.
