PORT TOWNSEND — Chef Kellen Lynch, kneeling, and Tomoki Sage, rear, present a cake baked by Lynch and delivered on a long pizza peel to Rhody Queen Jenessah Seebergoss as princesses Brigette Palmer and Hailey Hirshel look on.
The single cake took the place of dozens that would be available for the annual Cake Picnic at Pope Marine Park on Saturday, May 16, 2020, but due to social distancing, the event was canceled. Instead organizers drove around Port Townsend neighborhoods with a float and dance music.
