The discharging of personal fireworks is limited — and even restricted in some areas — across the North Olympic Peninsula.
Port Townsend has banned the use of fireworks altogether.
It is also illegal to use or possess fireworks in Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest.
In Port Angeles, fireworks can only be discharge in the city limit between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. today only. They are prohibited at Hollywood Beach at the foot of Lincoln Street.
In Forks, fireworks are allowed until midnight tonight.
In Sequim and elsewhere inside Clallam County Fire District No. 3, fireworks are permitted today between 9 a.m. and midnight, and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. They are illegal after July 5.
