U.S. Sen. Patty Murray will visit the North Olympic Peninsula on Tuesday to discuss transportation, security and health care issues.
Murray is also planning an April 14 trip to Port Townsend to participate in a Democratic Party fund-raiser.
During Tuesday’s visit to Port Angeles and Sequim, Murray, D-Seattle, will attend roundtable discussions with local leaders and tour Magna Force Inc., a research and development company developing the LEVX magnetic-levitation, or mag-lev, transportation system.
A roundtable discussion with Clallam County community leaders will begin at noon.
Economic development and transportation concerns will be addressed during that roundtable discussion at Port Angeles City Hall, 321 E. 5th St.
Murray will then tour Magna Force, 2602 W. 18th St., to learn about LEVX.
The tour begins at 1:15 p.m.
