Major retailers serving Clallam and Jefferson counties say they have yet to feel the impact of the West Coast port lockout.
But they say that could change as early as this week if the impasse continues.
The Pacific Maritime Association, which represents West Coast shipping companies and terminal operators, locked out 10,500 members of the longshoremen’s union Sept. 29, claiming dockworkers had engaged in a slowdown, a situation the association likened to a strike with pay.
