Unemployment rose in Clallam County from October to November but remained stable in Jefferson County, state statistics show. But both counties showed lower unemployment from November 2002.
Clallam County’s unemployment rate in November was 6.4 percent, up from 6.1 percent in October, according to the monthly report from Washington State Employment Security.
Jefferson County’s unemployment rate in November was 5.2 percent, the same as in October.
In November 2002, Clallam County registered 6.8 percent unemployment while Jefferson County’s unemployment rate was 6.3 percent.
Washington’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell two-tenths of a percent in November to 6.8 percent.
Washington’s non-adjusted unemployment rate rose by two-tenths of a percentage point to 6.8 percent.
