PORT ANGELES — Richard Tinney, president of Washington Alder LLC, which as Port Angeles Hardwood LLC plans to build a $23 million sawmill west of Port Angeles this year, will be featured speaker at Monday’s Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
Tinney is expected to outline Washington Alder’s plans on a site in Eclipse Industrial Park west of Port Angeles.
Port Angeles Hardwood LLC agreed in November to buy 30.3 acres in Eclipse Industrial Park, owned by B&D Properties.
The company plans to employ 95 with a $5 million payroll once the mill begins.
Plans are under way for the site and surrounding properties, which lie in the Port Angeles urban growth area, to be annexed into the city.
The chamber’s Monday luncheon, open to the public, starts at noon in the second-floor meeting room of the Port Angeles CrabHouse Restaurant, 221 N. Lincoln St.
Lunch is $10, or $2.50 for beverage-only, payable to the meeting room cashier.
