OMC honors staff for internal audits

PORT ANGELES — Dr. Scott Kennedy, Olympic Medical Center’s chief medical officer, recognized seven staff members at a recent board of commissioners meeting for performing internal audits.

Staff members honored include Brenda Tassie, medical/surgical/pediatrics unit; Sam Reynolds, clinical informatics; Paula Wahl, quality support services; Sandy Ulf, quality support services; Carol Kittrick, Olympic Medical Home Health; Holly Wickersham, Olympic Medical Physicians; and Michelle Samples, Olympic Medical Physicians.

According to Kennedy, “This incredible team built an audit program that looks impartially at a key process in OMC to observe patient services, interview managers and staff, and review documentation and policies to identify whether any gaps exist between what we’re doing and what we want to be doing.”
