PORT ANGELES — Renee L. Roening and Anthony L. Reynolds were arrested last week for investigation of selling heroin to the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team, agency Supervisor Jason Viada said.
Roening, 22, and Reynolds, 25, were arrested Thursday at a home in the 500 block of West Ninth Street as part of an OPNET investigation into a heroin trafficking organization operating in Port Angeles.
More arrests are expected, Viada said.
A third suspect, Jacob R. Marvelle, 26, was arrested at the same residence on unrelated warrants.
Investigators developed probable cause to believe that Roening sold heroin to an OPNET informant May 30, Viada said.
Reynolds was suspected of selling the drug on four separate days last month.
OPNET seized a Lexus sedan that was parked in front of the residence. The vehicle was believed to have been used to deliver heroin.
“On May 30, OPNET observed a school bus stop and let off students at 10th and Pine [streets],” Viada said.
“About two minutes later, OPNET developed probable cause to believe that Roening delivered heroin to OPNET at 10th and Cedar, just one block away from the bus stop.”
In another OPNET case, Cayde D. Barclay-Paxton, 19, of Sequim was sentenced last month to two years’ probation and 90 to 180 days of drug treatment after pleading guilty to delivery of heroin, Viada said.
Investigators said the delivery occurred in the Carlsborg area in May 2013.
Meanwhile, Ennis N. Caynor, 38, was sentenced last month to 22 months in prison after pleading guilty to a series of crimes, including possession of a controlled substance, bail jumping and possession of a stolen motor vehicle, Viada said.
Caynor is being held at the Washington Corrections Center in Shelton.
