OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Officials are seeking public comment about a proposal to rehabilitate and resurface 17.6 miles of Hurricane Ridge Road during the construction season of 2005.
The project, which could continue into 2006 if necessary, will include the road from its intersection with Mount Angeles Road in Port Angeles to the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center.
The proposal includes resurfacing the road, the Hurricane Ridge parking lot and pullouts along the road.
Comments should be sent to the following address no later than Oct. 24: Superintendent — Hurricane Ridge Road Scoping, Olympic National Park, 600 E. Park Ave., Port Angeles, WA 98362.
