OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — A fire started by a lightning strike Sept. 6 about 1½ miles northeast of Hurricane Hill grew to 50 acres Saturday evening, but remains within containment boundaries, an Olympic National Park spokeswoman said.
The Griff fire southwest of Port Angeles covered about eight acres on Wednesday, then grew to 10 acres Friday, spokeswoman Barb Maynes said.
It increased to 14 acres on Saturday morning, 25 acres by early Saturday afternoon and 50 acres by 5 p.m. Saturday.
