GARDINER — A tanker truck loaded with fuel remained on its side off U.S. Highway 101 near Gardiner Beach Road this morning after the truck collided with a car, closing the northbound lane to traffic between 7:55 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. but causing no injuries or spills, the State Patrol said.
But there may be further road delays once the truck is towed, State Patrol spokeswoman Krista Hedstrom said.
The collision occurred at 7:45 a.m., she said.
“We are going to get the truck turned over and get someone to make an inspection on it,” Hedstrom said.
“The roadway is open, but that could all change once we get a tow there. Nothing has spilled, and it’s stable.”
The names of the drivers involved were not available, Hedstrom said.
