PORT HADLOCK — Naval Magazine Indian Island will conduct a security training exercise from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, the Navy announced Wednesday.
The exercise will take place in the water outside of the ammunition pier’s port security barrier and outside of the installation’s main gate.
Installation personnel and those living near Indian Island could notice the increased presence of harbor security boats in the water, hear loud sirens and see bright blue flashing lights.
Additional security personnel will be present around the main gate, and they will be using whistles and loud sirens.
The Navy routinely conducts these types of security exercises, it said.
