PORT ANGELES — A mass choir benefit concert to celebrate Port Angeles artist Anna Nichols’ birthday and the 150th
anniversary of Port Angeles will be held at Port Angeles City Pier at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24.
Organizers are seeking those who would like to sing in the choir.
A choir of 350-500 performers is expected to perform, including the Peninsula Chamber Singers, directed by Dewey Ehling, and the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers, directed by Lee Moseley, plus local Coast Guard station personnel.
The event will be a benefit for the Salvation Army Food Bank and The Answer for Youth.
The music selected is well-known and easy to sing.
The mass choir is open to those in grades 3 and up.
