PORT ANGELES — Travis Ridout will present “Hacking Democracy: What Social Media is Doing to U.S. Politics” at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.
The free presentation, hosted by the North Olympic Library System, will stream on the Zoom internet meeting platform.
Ridout, the author of the book “Political Advertising in the United States,” will explore the pros and cons of social media in political campaigns.
Ridout is the Thomas S. Foley Distinguished Professor of Government and Public Policy at Washington State University.
The presentation is funded by the Humanities Washington Speakers Bureau in partnership with The Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service.
