OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Work on U.S. Highway 101 around Lake Crescent will resume Monday after a break from July Fourth through today.
Crews will continue paving, ditch reconditioning and pull-off work this week.
Drivers should expect up to a half-hour of total stop time with slower travel through the 12-mile project zone, said Penny Wagner, Olympic National Park spokeswoman.
Drivers should watch for flaggers and expect heavy truck traffic through the construction zone, Wagner said.
Through late September, road work is restricted to two hours after sunrise to two hours before sunset.
Strider Construction Inc. of Bellingham is in its second of three seasons of work to rehabilitate 12 miles of the highway around Lake Crescent in a project costing $27.5 million. Construction seasons are from March through mid-November.
