JOYCE — The fate of Crescent School District’s fourth attempt in less than two years to pass a $1.31 million maintenance and operations levy will be decided by tonight.
Ballots in the special, all-mail election must be postmarked by today to be counted. Most post offices close before 5 p.m.
Ballots can also be deposited before 8 p.m. in a driveway drop box at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Clallam County election officials said 52.75 percent of ballots mailed last month had been returned by Monday afternoon.
Preliminary election results will be available shortly after 8 p.m.
Final results will be certified May 28.
Today’s election marks the fourth time in about 16 months that Crescent officials have asked voters to support a levy proposal.
