Clallam County election officials will count eight ballots today to determine the outcome of the Crescent School District’s $1.31 million maintenance and operations levy.
As few as two votes either way could determine the result.
After last week’s count of ballots in the all-mail election, 536 voters, or 60.09 percent, support the measure, and 356 voters or 39.91 percent, didn’t. State law requires levies to pass by 60 percent.
The Clallam County Canvassing Board determined Thursday that seven questionable ballots were not eligible to be counted, County Auditor Cathleen McKeown said.
The election will be certified today following the ballot count.
